About Career Counselling
Career counselling refers to the personalised service of offering information, guidance and support to people who may need assistance with a range of career management issues. The main issues presented to career counsellors focus on the difficulty many people face in identifying a suitable career direction and the subsequent task of pursuing career goals (that is, finding relevant employment). The full process typically involves the following: assessing interests, personality traits and skills determining short term and long term education and training needs developing effective job search skills exploring work and family balance and other values identifying and addressing barriers to pursuing career goals identifying career choices and pathways understanding market trends and employment prospects for the future Career counsellors generally use a range of specialised assessment tools (questionnaires and tests), interview techniques and information sources to establish a suitable match between the person and the external reality of the world of work. Resume writing skills and other job search techniques are then often discussed during subsequent counselling interview sessions to assist with finding relevant employment.
Why Say no to a free career Counselling?
Usually it is seen that career counselling is offered free, why this is free? There could be below mentioned reasons:-
1. That career counselling center is associated with any Coaching Institute:- Suppose one coaching institute is giving coaching for IAS exams. and one students who has just cleared 12th with 89%, whatever subject it is. that counsellor will start giving information about IAS exams and will suggest to join his coaching for 3 years.
2. That Career Counselling center is associated with any college:- Suppose one student visits a counselling center and he says he is 12th pass, counsellor starts giving information about computer science engineering without asking students interest, subject, abilities and financial conditions. reason that counselling center is associated with one engineering college who will pay him 40,000 if that student gets admission through him.
Beware of these kind of counselling center and get right suggestion with paid counselling session. We are doing this since September 2009. We assure that we don't get payment from any institute and institutions. We will suggest you only genuine options of career available.
